Subject: Important Dates and Reminders!

Dear band community,

I hope you are enjoying your summer.  Please remember to stay active and hydrated and begin to get yourself acclamated to being outside.  We have some very exciting but busy weeks ahead.

This is the first of three very important Broadcasts regarding upcoming band camp.  Please read each one carefully, even if you are a returning member.  The six attachments are for student leaders only.

FIRST-YEAR MEMBERS
This is for all members who are new to the Green Hope Falcon Regiment, with the exception of colorguard.  Aaron has also asked for ALL battery (NOT pit/front ensemble) to attend.

Monday, July 20 and Tuesday, July 21
6-8pm on the practice field in front of GHHS
Wear comfortable sneakers that fit, socks, and comfortable, cool clothing.  You will also need a hat and/or sunglasses.
These rehearsals are vital to making you feel comfortable on the first day of full band camp.  We will teach you all of the marching basics and teach you how to read drill charts so you won't be behind the rest of the group and we can move quickly into learning the show.

STUDENT LEADERS
This is for all section leaders and members of the leadership team.  Please view all six attachments for information on the Ropes Course.

Monday, July 20
Ropes Course, Bond Park
8am-noon

Attachment descriptions:
1  What to expect--an overview
2  Clothing guidelines--read carefully so you won't be sent home.
3, 4, and 5  Forms that you and your parents must sign.  Bring these with you on the day of the event.  DON'T FORGET!
6  Map to Bond Park

This is a very fun experience.  It will emphasize the same leadership qualities that we will be discussing in our training session.
